2 Months...

This little one just had her 2 month check up and she is 10 lbs 11 oz and 22 inches and healthy as a horse. Kayla was born with a birthmark over about 70% of her body. I was initially concerned that people would make fun of her as she got older, and the pediatrician recommended that she go to a dermatologist. He said that she actually had couple of things going on . The marks on her arms and legs would fade eventually, but she also had a port wine stain on her back which could be a sign of spine problems. I was not excited about this...now my concern for her increased from fear of social pressures to fear that she would grow up unable to walk or something. Since she was so young we attempted a ultrasound first and if that didn't work we would have to get an MRI which I really didn't want because she would have to be put out. Luckily the ultrasound worked and she is fine. She still has some follow up appointments with the dermatologist for at least a year, but so far nothing to be concerned about. She also has 2 fused toes, and I guess when you have 3 or more physical anomalies its a good idea to go to a geneticist to make sure the 3 anomalies are a sign of something else, like a kidney problem, or something. So in October she will be going to see the geneticist. Otherwise this girl is very wiggly, alert (doesn't sleep much during the day, but an awesome sleeper at night.), and toned which, I guess is a sign of a healthy brain. She has been able to coo and smile for a month now, and loves it when you sit and smile back at her. She loves tummy time and really any time on the floor, but unfortunately her 2-year-old brother makes that near impossible until he goes to bed. He has already put a tooth through her forehead and given her a brotherly headbutt. Oh well, I guess she will be tough when she is older. She really is a pleasant baby as long as she is fed. Honestly, I nibble on her all the time and just squish her as much as I can...love her to pieces!

Again, Cole could not be left out and got his "2 month " picture as well. I think we will have to take one of him every month now to keep with tradition.

More Kayla (can't get enough of this kid) and a few of her siblings...

Baby bath time.

Daddy snuggle time.

Nap with Anna time
Special dress time (This dress was made by my Grandma Shrader for Jacob who turned out to be a boy and we found out we were have Anna a couple of months after she died, so she never got to see it on one of her grand kids, but I am still so glad both my girls got to wear it.

Flood...

How do you know your vacation is really over? You come home to a lot of rain and  your basement floods. Most things were okay we do have to get new carpet. We also have some issues with our bathroom and have to replace the tub and some pipes. I guess when it rains it pours...literally. Oh well, I wanted a new tub and carpet anyways...just would like to have the money to pay for it first.

Kayla's Baby Blessing...

I really hesitated to post these because of how large I look in them...baby Kayla really did a number on my body, but I am working hard to shed those lbs and so I will post for motivation and because this is just too important of a day not to.
I am so glad that my parents made the extra effort to stay for Kayla's blessing. It was a really special day except for the part where she was almost dropped, actually she more like leaped during her blessing...we'll just say she was jumping for joy.
I think the kids in these pictures are funny...I guess I didn't realize how bright it was outside.

Jake's Spring Ball 2013...

Jake loves playing catcher but didn't get the chance much because they had a small team and the catcher gets pulled first in coach pitch.

Jake hated playing pitcher and unfortunately he played it a lot.
