Our Rolie Polie Coley (can you tell we like to rhyme)......

Well this little guy really is the "roliest" of our group and we LOVE IT! He has many nicknames in reference to his rotundness. Chubba Bubba, Buddah or Buddha Belly, Chunky Monkey, and Chubbs. We really should be nicer, we'll give him a complex.  He's a man of few words (well real words that is, he'll respond when you ask a question and it sounds like he knows what he is talking about but its a secret language to you.) His favorite vocabulary: Mom (YAY!) He uses this word in many ways. when we are in the car he says "mom" and I say "Cole: and we do this back and forth until he gets tired of it. He also says "Maaaaaaaa-om" like his needy and occasionally bratty older siblings. Other words "nana" for Anna, "Dad" and the 3 newest additions. "uh-uh", "uh-oh", and my personal favorite "air ball" and "Gooooooooaaaaaaal!". He has said other words like "thank you" and "ake" for Jake, but they were fleeting I guess he deemed them as not fun to say or something.
Some more fun things about Cole...
1. He loves to poke belly buttons and touch bare skin.
2. He can shove a pack of fruit snacks and 2 mini pancakes in his mouth all at one time.
3. He runs really funny...we call it fluttering, but you would have to see it to know what I mean.
4. He likes to walk up and down hills...again and again and again etc.
5. His hair is super soft and fuzzy and everyone loves to rub it!
6. He loves his brother and sister (especially his brother, but don't tell Anna) and thinks they are soooo stinkin funny no matter what they do!

This kid love sunglasses/glasses of all kinds...he is an expert glasses-putter-onner!
He also loves to climb...EVERYTHING! I was hoping his chub might deter his monkeyness, but alas, it was not meant to be.
We used to play outside everyday after preschool with this little guy, Elliot. Elliot has a sister Hannah. Hannah's mom called the boys double-wides So there was Hannah, Anna and the Double-wides, sounds like a great country band name to me!

Didn't want to be in the baby swing anymore
Ahhhhhh, this kid has great cheeks and his daddy loves them way to much. In the words of Wade, "they are just so soft and amazing!"

 More "amazing" cheek pictures.

I know its hard to see but here is my baby's first (and hopefully last) black eye.

Working on using a spoon...not so good huh?
This might be one of the funniest pictures I have ever taken... unfortunately, due to inappropriate content it had to be edited. He will probably hate me some day, but here is how I found him during nap time... naked bum and awkward bottle placement.
Ah, he is just too cute. I honestly could just watch him and cuddle him all day long! Love this kid sooo much!
Thanks for enduring the journal entries about my kids...probably TMI for some but I am really bad at recording this stuff...I have made a goal to be better.

Our Jake the Snake...

I was so excited I was one of the few picked to help at Jacob's school field trip to the zoo. I like seeing him interact with the kids in his classroom and find out how he is different from at home. Its not something I get to do very often...schools are very different here in South Park and it is near impossible to go inside the school with out a bunch of clearances and special permission...one of the many things I miss about the west, but I will say that Jacob has learned a lot this year...they are very acedemic.

Jacob (oh I am sorry, I am told he is Jake now) has a whole new love for sports...he has always liked and played them but he has taken it to a whole new level. He is learning all the sports terminology, he fights with his sister over watching ESPN instead of a cartoon, she'll even watch a cartoon he might like and he would still pick the sports. When My dad was here, the girls had no chance...with 3 huge sports fans and the NBA finals and Stanley cup finals all in the same week!
Some of the cute things he does with sports:
1. He says the  pittsburgh penguins are "versing" the LA Kings instead of "playing"
2. He is such a fair weather fan...As soon as the penguins ( his favorite player was Malkin) lost in the semi finals, he moved onto New York (favorite player: Lundquist) and when they lost he moved onto the LA Kings (favorite player: Jonathan Quick)
3. He has to dress up when the game is on (see picture below)
4. he calls his favorite players by their first name. Andrew McCutchin of course would be Andrew, Jonathan Quick-Jonathan, and Evgeni(sp) Malkin- Evgeni...It's like he knows them personally.

This was Jake's 1st year of real baseball (coach pitch)...no t-ball this time. Even though he was the smallest on the team and had less experience than most he improved quite a bit and did well!
Favorite position to play: 1st base and Catcher

Also, his first year of competitive soccer.
Favorite position: Goalie or offence

The hockey goalie costume.
The Stance
Baseball on the wii...he does so much better on this game since playing the real thing.
The last day of first grade...it was pouring! Can't believe I have a 2nd grader...it gets weirder and weirder every year.
It has been a rough year for Jacob, this move was probably the hardest on him and it has taken a lot of adjusting for him, but he is a trooper and hopefully next year will be that much better for him because of it...so proud of my little guy!
