Easter 2013...

Egg dying started out calmly but then then Cole turned it into Easter Egg Slam Dunking...remind me to find a babysitter for the next 2 year old.

Easter Morning: Anna was excited about her new silver shoes...
Jake was excited about his new book, Jacob's Journal (kind of the Mormon version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid but less crude)...
Cole was just excited about everything...he liked finding his basket and following his bro and sis while they found theirs.
Egg Hunting at "Pa's" house (Cole's word for both grandma and grandpa)

Ahhh! Unpredictable Sping (Part 2)...

March 29th: This is what we were doing. Well at least we were able to enjoy ourselves reguardless of the fickle weather.

Cole has been a big fan of "eldents" and he was not disappointed...there were 3 different veiwings of them. He was so excited!

It's hard to see, but there was a pittsburgh penguins banner hanging in the back and Jake thought this was the coolest thing ever!
Cole enjoying the "bish". I love 2 year old language.

Leo the Leprechaun...

So Leo made an appearance again this year, but he came a little late...his excuse was that he didn't want to be here at the same time as the Toothfairy because she thinks she is so special because she gets to visit more often and poor Leo has to wait until his holiday. So he came while we were at church and he made sure he knew he was there.
Being his typical self while eating his rainbow fruitloops in green milk.
Also enjoying her festive breakfast.
Leo left a trap of yarn at the front door (it has already been totally destroyed in this pic) and a trail of skittles and Cole is intent on eating all of them. The older 2 were already off following the trail to find their pot of gold.
He dumped out all the crayons, switched bed sheets, left bean bag chairs in the kitchen, and...
...used our bathroom!
This is 2 of the 3 (must have missed Anna somehow) in parts of their green attire left by Leo.  Cole wanted to look like a hockey player like Jake but insisted that we take off the shirt that matched the shorts and put his church shirt back on. Oh boys! They crack me up.

Tooth #2 Bites the Dust...

After hanging on by a thread for almost a week, Anna let me yank her tooth. Actually, there was no yanking involved, saying it was a small tug would be an exageration, so needless to say it was pain free and no tears!

The Toothfairy made her visit right on schedule.

Grandpa Shrader...

It's my Grandpa's funeral today and since I couldn't be there I thought I might make a small contribution to the day. Honestly I don't have many memories of my grandpa. Part of that, I am sure, was the distance and how frequently we got to visit, but also my lack of good childhood memory. So I may not have a specific memory, but I do remember him. He was quiet, kind and gentle. I remember waking up to him reading the newspaper and drinking his tea. I remember him sitting in his chair observing all the activity and being content to just watch. I remember helping him outside in the back yard and setting up plastic golf and croquet sets and badminton nets so we could play. I remember him sneaking us a cookie and one for him too. This picture is the last family picture I have...it's missing 3 grandchildren, 5 (almost 6) great grandchildren, and some grand spouses, but it still reflects a great legacy and I am so proud to have had him as my Grandpa. Wish I could be there today.

February Fun Stuff...

I cannot believe it!..Miss Anna has lost her first tooth with many to come quickly I would think. Her top 2 teeth are dead from a fall and will most likely have to be pulled soon and her other bottom on eis already loose...she is going to be rich!

A note and 2 whole dollars for her 1st tooth lost. The Tooth Fairy brings 1 dollar for all the others...I often wonder if our Tooth Fairy is too generous or if she is too cheap...how much does your Tooth Fairy bring?

This little guy's eye is doing much better...he can open his eye all the way now and the bruise is fading quickly.

Ready for Valentine's Day!

Special heart hair for Love Day...suprisingly easy.

So in the last few months there have been a lot of boy outings...Daddy got free tickets to a Pitt football game, the boys all went to a hockey game after Christmas, and Anna was feeling a bit left out so Daddy promised a Daddy Daughter Date originally with ice skating and ice cream, but then Daddy got tickets to PINKALICIOUS! (the musical) Anna was unbelievably excited to go and got all perdied up for the event. She got pictures and autographs with the characters and got to make crafts and get her face painted...can you say "total success"! You are a very good Dad Wade!
