Easter 2012...

Kinda creepy for such a pretty little girl!

As kids, we used to like to watch all the dye go down the sink at once (I know, the simple pleasures, right?) It's fun to pass some of those things down.

Easter loot!

Bey blades

He is too sweet!

Fresh Beat Band CD...I think Dad and Cole are the only ones who don't know every word to every song.

Finding his Easter basket at G. Burnett's with Uncle Jeff

Score! A new helmet.

A new fancy umbrella.

DC Trip...

In February Jacob's class did a unit on DC and G.W and A.L. working up to President's Day. He really got into it so we thought, since we are only 4 hours away now, that it would be fun to take him to see it for real...well, we were wrong. He could have cared less and here we are with two kids who are tired of walking at a place where you have to walk a lot and a baby who is in the "I hate the stroller" stage. Everyone was grumpy. The zoo was cool, but not any cooler than the hogle zoo in Utah except for a few exceptions (the tiger, the orangutans, and the pandas). So kind of a bust...we should probably think it through a bit better next time.
This crazy cat tried to pounce on some ducks in his pond...he is starting to crouch in this pic.
They let the orangutans out and they climb across the whole zoo on these wires.
At the DC temple visitors center

In fear of labling these all wrong...I will just skip that. Some are obvious of course, but we were never sure what war memorials we were looking at.

State capital drive by...we were set up for a tour but it was way too far of a walk and we ran out of time...maybe next time.

While Momma was Out...

For the 1st time ever after 7+ years of motherhood, I hopped on a plane to Vegas and left all the kids with Dad! I don't really like leaving my kids AT ALL, but it was offer I couldn't refuse, a funfilled weekend with my best friend Darci! (Note...most of the pics are taken with my phone so not so great...sorry)

Daddy's attempt at a ponytail...not bad actually.

Darci at the cheesecake factory...believe it or not she is 8 months prego and I think I got tired faster than she did on this trip...she is amazing!

Me at the cheesecake factory...love that place!

We got to see a couple of famous people...Pete Rose and Dick Butkis.

My favorite part probably was the Phantom of the Opera...I love that show especially the chandelier coming together and then crashing down at the end...so neat!

A random half full bottle of vodka...only on Vegas right?

January through March Updates

Snowboarding with bagged pillows and couch cushions...my kids creative idea while watching the x games with daddy.

Anna's Cupcakes for Valentines at her preschool, she had some very specific specifics and this is how they turned out.

My baby turned one in Feb. and he was so cute and so good for his birthday.

A monkey cake for the monkey...this kid can get anywhere. This is a Martha Stewart recipe and I must tell you the vanilla and chocolate fluffy buttercream frosting recipe is the best ever. I am not a huge fan of frosting, but I loved this!

Picking up the entire scoop of ice cream and loving every minute except maybe the shock of cold at the begining.

The after...he was a good little cake muncher.

With his first birthday came his real first hair cut...we have trimmed here and there but this time we went with the clippers. Here is the fluff head before...

...and the fuzz head after.

The norm for Anna...we must always be beautiful.

The norm for Jacob...making up sporting gear for whatever sport he is into at the time. I know its hard to see but he has soccer shorts on over his sweats.

Cole loves all headbands and glasses lately...actually anything you can put on your head is good.

St. Patricks Day...Leo the Leprechaun left a rainbow trail of skittles to a pot of gold candies and avoided the traps (comprised of sticky tape and fruit snacks to lure him in) set in place by these 2 munchkins. We topped it off with with rainbow waffles for breakfast.

Just another sweet picture of my baby.
