Even More Catching Up...

Cole's blessing Day...

Jacob thought it was cool that he matched Cole. This is the outfit Cole came home in that Jacob picked out. It as a #3 for the 3rd child and for the 3rd of Feb, the day he was born.

Introducing Baby Cole...

Cole James Burnett
February 3, 2011
3:53pm
7lbs. 12oz (our biggest baby by far)
20 inches
All went really well, only about 7 hours of labor and the first 4 were basically spent getting doped up on antibiotics before they really induced the labor. The only hiccup was when the fire alarm went off and they thought we might have to be evacuated in 22 degree weather, but it just turned out to be a broken water pipe. So although it might have been fun to deliver a baby outside, I am greatful for the less exciting route.

Christmas Tree Finding, my 30th Birthday, and a Little Announcement...

Note: 7 new posts below so keep scrolling
Before I tell you about all of our holiday festivities and you see all the pictures, I should probably make a little announcement (some of might have already figured it out)...we are expecting our 3rd little Burnett in about a month. A lot of you who read this already know because you have either seen me or you are family but I was being superstitous and a bit paranoid of announcing it this time on the blog because of the loss of our last baby, but I can't really hide it anymore in these pictures so I thought I should mention it. Anyways we are impatiently awaiting his or her arrival (we didn't find out what we are having) and still trying to figure out a name (mostly for a girl) so if you have any suggestions please feel free to share.

Picking out the Christmas tree.

For my 30th we went to dinner and then took the kids to zoo lights where they got to see Santa and real reindeer!

I also got new scriptures and cinnamon rolls for breakfast that morning and Wade made me my own birthday sign...I have made one for everyone else except myself of course and Wade thought I should get one too.

Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve had a lot going on...1st we had the traditional Pizza Hut pizza for dinner, and then we got a very special treat afterwards when we got to Skype Wade's brother, Jeff, who is on a mission in Thialand!

Anna also helped Grandma B make cookies.

Our tree stuffed with presents.

Christmas Eve (cont)...

We also got ready for Santa by putting out reindeer food (oatmeal and glitter)...it looks really neat when you throw it on snow if you have some, but unfortunately our snow came 3 days too late.

We also set out the milk and cookies for Santa...

and set out our stockings...

and read The Night Before Christmas and the Nativity Story...we also acted this out earlier that night but I forgot to take pictures, but I did tape it and it was pretty funny.

The kids, of course, were a bit excited and had a hard time falling asleep. They would yell down to us that Santa couldn't come until we went to sleep, we said "we can't go to sleep until you do"...to which they replied, "We are asleep, we promise!" Overall they were really good and went to sleep pretty quickly.

Christmas Morning...

Finding their pillow pets from Santa...

and the horse stable from Santa...
and the Dora playset from Santa.
Wade with his new guitar, Jacob also got one for his birthday and they have been having fun jammin (if you can call it that, neither one of them know how to play yet) together

Christmas (cont.)...

Jacob got to shop at Santa's secret shop at school this year...he was so excited to give them to us, but he was even more excited to give us his Christmas tree ornament he made at school.
Wade's parents brought the brothers T-shirts from Jamaica.
We were so happy to be able to spend Christmas with Grandpa B...
Grandma B...

and Uncle Devin and Aunt Brittany
We had a great holiday and hope you all had a great one too...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Jacob's 6th Birthday...

My baby boy is 6...I can't believe it! Because of the date of his birthday (12-27), we get to celebrate a lot...
Here he is at his class party...

Then bowling with his friends Nick and Eastan...

and finally opening presents on his real birthday. We also went to Cold Stone for ice cream that night and lit a candle and sang to him at the shop, others waiting in line sang to him too...he was so embarrased and cute!

Harry Potter Premier...

Some friends of ours got free tickets to the Harry Potter Premier and invited us to go, we had so much fun being sorted and drinking butter beer, and Wade even got tricked into getting face painted.
