Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve had a lot going on...1st we had the traditional Pizza Hut pizza for dinner, and then we got a very special treat afterwards when we got to Skype Wade's brother, Jeff, who is on a mission in Thialand!

Anna also helped Grandma B make cookies.

Our tree stuffed with presents.

Christmas Eve (cont)...

We also got ready for Santa by putting out reindeer food (oatmeal and glitter)...it looks really neat when you throw it on snow if you have some, but unfortunately our snow came 3 days too late.

We also set out the milk and cookies for Santa...

and set out our stockings...

and read The Night Before Christmas and the Nativity Story...we also acted this out earlier that night but I forgot to take pictures, but I did tape it and it was pretty funny.

The kids, of course, were a bit excited and had a hard time falling asleep. They would yell down to us that Santa couldn't come until we went to sleep, we said "we can't go to sleep until you do"...to which they replied, "We are asleep, we promise!" Overall they were really good and went to sleep pretty quickly.

Christmas Morning...

Finding their pillow pets from Santa...

and the horse stable from Santa...
and the Dora playset from Santa.
Wade with his new guitar, Jacob also got one for his birthday and they have been having fun jammin (if you can call it that, neither one of them know how to play yet) together

Christmas (cont.)...

Jacob got to shop at Santa's secret shop at school this year...he was so excited to give them to us, but he was even more excited to give us his Christmas tree ornament he made at school.
Wade's parents brought the brothers T-shirts from Jamaica.
We were so happy to be able to spend Christmas with Grandpa B...
Grandma B...

and Uncle Devin and Aunt Brittany
We had a great holiday and hope you all had a great one too...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Jacob's 6th Birthday...

My baby boy is 6...I can't believe it! Because of the date of his birthday (12-27), we get to celebrate a lot...
Here he is at his class party...

Then bowling with his friends Nick and Eastan...

and finally opening presents on his real birthday. We also went to Cold Stone for ice cream that night and lit a candle and sang to him at the shop, others waiting in line sang to him too...he was so embarrased and cute!

Harry Potter Premier...

Some friends of ours got free tickets to the Harry Potter Premier and invited us to go, we had so much fun being sorted and drinking butter beer, and Wade even got tricked into getting face painted.

Let it snow...

And snow it did...definitly not the most Utah has ever seen, but it did snow consistantly late Saturday night through late Sinday/early Monday, plenty to play in!

Trying on dad's snow clothes...I like how the knees of the pants are in the shoes and then the rest of the pants hang out the sides.

Halloween Breakfast, Boo at the Zoo and Trick-or-Treating...

I thought it would be fun to spice up breakfast, so colored sprinkles and mini M&Ms made for fun pancakes.

As usual, the kids loved the zoo and all the candy they got trick-or-treating.

This is right before we went out trick-or treating, it was pretty rainy outside but the kids didn't seem to care too much, they just wanted the candy. When we got home Anna's sweatpants were soaked past her knees, but her dress wasn't wet at all, not really sure how that all worked out, but she didn't complain. Jacob's costume was kind of plasticy (I know that's not a word) and he was dry as a bone. They had a blast and brag about all the king sized candy bars they got.

Carving Pumpkins...

Usually my kids are big chickens like their mom and don't like scary things so I was kind of suprized that they chose a creepy skeleton and the grim reaper for there pumpkins. (See finished product in later post.)

Wade's 30th...

So Wade turned the big 3-0 this year and we weren't able to do any huge celebrating, but I think he had a good day anyways. The Friday before his birthday, the kids and I took balloons and a cake to work and then went out to lunch. Then Saturday, on his birthday (Oct 16th) the kids gave presents...
Then Wade's brother and sister in law gave him a gift card to Moochies, this mom and pop italian shop with amazing meatball subs, steak and cheese, and fries. It was featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and we thought it looked really good and wanted to try it and it was really really good! Afterwards we had cake (Oreo Ice Cream Cake)with Dev and Brit and then played games...hopefully he had a good birthday and maybe someday I can make up for the lack of celebrating.
