This was probably Anna's favorite part of the day. She was so cuee talking to all of the princesses, she even gave them a hug and the sweetest little kiss when she said goodbye...I was shocked at how brave she was , she ususlly so shy. Jacob was quite the prince and got all embarrassed when they called him handsome.

Sleeping "Geauty"...
Anna was in complete awe when she finally got to meet her favorite princess. I think Jacob really liked it to, but he'll nver admit to it.
Animal Kingdom...
So for Jacob's Day at Disney, he picked the Animal Kingdom, which could have been more fun if it wasn't so stinkin' humid, it had rained that moring and then the temp shot up to about 90 degrees, it was close to unbearable for the adults. But we did get to go on a few rides and see some pretty cool animals, Jacob also enjoyed digging for dinosaur bones and going on the triceratops ride.
At each part of the park there was a learning station where you got a stamp if completed, the kids got really into this and wanted to collect all there stamps, well I think we had 2 left when we were hit with a terrential downpour we tried to wait it out, but it just wasn't getting any better, so both kids sat in the one seat of the strolled that has a sun shade and Wade ran them to the learning station and got completely soaked...what a good sport and loving daddy. We rode the train for a while and finally the rain eased up a bit and we were able to complete our stamp passes...infact we were the only ones in the park to complete it that day and they were so glad.

Animal Safari...
One of the Rides at the animal kingdom is a safari ride where you get to see all sorts of animls in a natuaral looking environment.
T-Rex Restaraunt...
Zach and Beth Ann's Reception...
The reception was really fun with good food and dancing. Anna loved her 2nd bouquet of event, she carried everywhere.

Infact we couldn't get him to stop, he was even dancing to the car, and now we catch him doing it all the time at home. He's kind of got an Elvis/Michael Jackson thing going on...it's pretty cute.

The venue was a really pretty country style carraige house. The kids loved looking for wildlife we're not used to here in Utah, like lizards and frogs and lovebugs in abundance.

Anna and Grandpa Dancing
We could get Anna to dance right from the start and she loved it...Jacob was a bit harder, he downright refused until his dad bribed him with $10 to spend at Disney World...that did it, he was dancing fool.

Our Labor Day...
For Labor Day we were able to go to Wheeler Farm for a picnic with Wade's extended family to celebrate his Grandma's Birthday, unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures of the rest of the family, so hopefully I will make up for it later. We also got to go to a Salt Lake Bee's baseball game with our friends Dan and Darcy and their 2 little boys and also with Wade's brother Devin and his wife Brit. It was a pretty good day...just nice to be together and do something as a family.

First day of Kindergarten...
Can I tell you that taking your first child to Kindergarten is one of the wierdest feelings...so much different than when they go to preschool. With preschool it still feels like they are yours, but dropping them off at a place that's going to take up a large amount of their time for the next chapter in their lives was sad, exciting, and scary all at the same time. But we are really looking forward to seeing what kind of person Jacob is going to become and the things he is going to learn!
Pictures by the house (with apples in hand)

Walking up to the school, he was starting to get nervous now (notice the apples still in hand)...

Waiting to go in, sitting next to Nick...(still with the apples)
First Day of Kindergarten (part 2)...
Following his classmates into the classroom..

Finding his name tag next to his teacher Mrs. Adams

Following directions already..."find a book and a place to sit"!

We didn't get many details, but they did read the Gingerbread Man, got to find gingerbread cookies, decorate and eat them, they sang a song about elephants sitting on them, and of course, they got to go out to recess. I think this will be a good year for Jacob!
